LAUNCH OF THE FILM ‘THE BOY AND THE HERON’ IN BRAZILIAN CINEMAS

Winner of the 2024 Oscar for Best Animated Feature, "The Boy and the Heron" captivated audiences worldwide and was distributed in Brazilian theaters by Sato Company. LADO9 was tasked with developing and implementing the entire marketing and communication strategy.

Our team was responsible for creating impactful promotional materials and innovative marketing assets that captured the film’s magical essence, ensuring a strong cinema presence and an excellent reception from the public.

Additionally, we developed paid traffic campaigns, facilitated joint marketing actions with major cinema chains, and managed social media with engaging content about the film. We also coordinated strategic actions with influencers, expanding reach and engagement.

The results were impressive: the film attracted over 400,000 viewers to Brazilian cinemas, generating more than 7 million reais in revenue, becoming the seventh highest-grossing anime in Brazilian theaters and the biggest success of Studio Ghibli in Brazil.
